AI Use Policy

Effective: October 12, 2026

Applies to: All writing published on The Sovereignty Ledger

Authorship. All topics, theses, research direction, arguments, positions, and conclusions published here are the author's. AI does not originate ideas, arguments, or positions for publication. The author reads and edits every line personally.

Permitted uses. AI does the jobs a newsroom gives to research, fact-checking, editing, and production staff:

  • Research: locating sources, data, and primary documents.
  • Fact-checking: verifying claims and quotations against original sources.
  • Drafting: shaping the author's notes, research, and stated positions into working prose. The ideas, arguments, and conclusions remain the author's.
  • Editing: grammar, clarity, length, and structure, and flagging weak or unsupported claims.
  • Production: formatting, source lists, titles, excerpts, and social media cards.

Prohibited uses. AI is not used to:

  • Select topics or form positions.
  • Add arguments, concepts, or conclusions not supplied by the author.
  • Alter the thesis of a piece.
  • Write personal accounts, testimony, or statements of faith, other than by drawing directly on the author's own words.
  • Generate quotations, sources, or experiences.

Process.

  1. Each piece begins with the author's raw material (notes, research, an outline, a draft, or recorded remarks) and a stated thesis.
  2. AI-drafted language is a working draft, never final copy. The author reads and edits every line personally.
  3. Factual claims are verified against the sources cited. Sources are listed at the end of each piece.
  4. The author reviews and approves the full text before publication

Records. An audit trail is kept for each piece: raw input, dated drafts, session logs, source notes, and the published text. Records are available on request. Records for pieces published before the effective date may be incomplete.
